above is an image of our founder. This pesky little chap who dominates and dictates our lives in such an intrusive and voracious way. All over the world. The virus.
there is one thing I feel I have suffered from in the last six months - compliance fatigue. Tell me to stay at home, wear a mask, stay away from people, stay within a five kilometre radius or don't wear a face shield and I have done it. I'm not happy about it, but I have done it. It is exhausting.
I haven't defied restrictions by protesting or not complying with any of the above, but apparently there are more. Then I am confronted this morning with the blanket statement that Victorians are becoming complacent in relation to the virus. Now I hear anecdotally there are restrictions in relation to swimming pools.
there is one thing I haven't complied with is watching the daily press conferences with the Premier. Not so much because of the formal statements he makes every day, but the monumentally lame questions the media asks - now they are exhausting.
now in this golden age of information, last night I thought I should go out of my way to get the full list of the things I can't, or shouldn't, do. So I got on the Internet and did a search. There are the obvious ones listed but there are the some other obvious ones I couldn't find. Then there were the horribly distracting buzzwords like the road to recovery, information about regional restrictions and restrictions for industry. Plus miles of waffling legal jargon.
there are more than a few restrictions I have heard about that are specific, but in the form of nothing more than gossip.
if there is a restriction on not eating a Falafel on a Wednesday with cheese , just tell me and I won't do it.
Just give me the full list of the things I shouldn't do in a clear and concise manner and I'm your man. As far as compliance goes.
