this post is the reason I started all of this in the first place. every time I watch the news or moreover, our daily briefing, I want a more detailed breakdown of the statistics, especially in relation to death. well, here is what I found as of yesterday. In the spirit of transparency, I got all my information from this site
https://www.covid19data.com.au/
1. overall figures as of 7/9
deaths 675
active cases 1718
total cases 19 574
total recovered 17 065
total tests 2 403 388
2. deaths by age
20s 1 70s 109
30s 2 80s 290
40s 1 90s 231
50s 12 100s 9
60s 20
3. death by gender
female 351 male 324
4. transmission source
aged care 461
(there is a note in the data stating 399 Possible Aged Care. having read the note, I have no idea what that means)
known outbreak 2
not linked to known outbreak 2
interstate 1
what I want to know are the figures for death in regional and metropolitan areas. those tested who have died with a further breakdown of those tested in isolation and those tested who are not in isolation. further information regarding the 209 deaths whose transmission source is not listed
if you do a search for corona virus statistics Victoria, there is a lot more information to look at
probably, there are more types of statistical questions I would like to ask; I just haven't thought of them yet. then there are the permutations and combinations of all the figures listed above.
then there is information regarding health care workers - that is a department all of it's own
now here is the important part. I do not want this further information to form some vast and kooky conspiracy; I just want to have a detailed and specific overview of the information at hand.
